About the Painting: “Pretending to Drive” was a painting that was created from me attending a friend’s Spring Sale’s Event on her farm. There was people picking oranges in the orchard, lemonade and homemade pies, and of course her father’s car collection. They lined them up in front of the one room school house that was where the kids went in the 1920’s. The history of this place is what I wanted to capture in this painting as well as the cars.
“Pretending to Drive” was created with oil and cold wax on canvas. I used brushes and palette knifes. This painting has a lovely sheen to it. The artwork comes with a certificate of authenticity, signed on the front and back as well as dated with the story. Enjoy!
